A Walk in the Woods

I went on a hike early this morning on a small piece of  the Appalachian Trail that starts on Elm Street and meets up with Bragg Hill Road just a three minute walk from our Carriage House. It rained last night and early this morning and was still misty which made me feel like I was in Scotland again. There was a narrow brook flush with new water running through the woods and it made a soft, subtle sound. It was a peaceful, lovely start to today. Yesterday,  I took pictures of other nearby, walkable views to share with you all. Enjoy, the photoblog:
